UPDATE: Fog Sealing


Today, July 19th, Street Division crews will be fog sealing Happy Valley from the LDS church south to the roundabout, east on Amity from the roundabout to Grays Lane, Rolling Green Estates, Wstern Country Estates and possibly Parkridge Sub today. Minor delays or detours are expected as we complete this maintenance process. Thank you for your patience!

ROADS SCHOLAR AWARDS


The following have been awarded the Roads Scholar Certificate of Completetion for fiscal year 2010. Mike Fusselman, Jake Smith and Sam Clark. The Road Scholar program is an intense training program consisting of several courses focusing on street maintenance. The program is hosted by the Local Highway Technical Assistance Council (LHTAC)and T2. Congratulations to all!

Street restriping


Street crews will be restriping City streets, painting crosswalks, arrows etc till the end of summer. Please be patient, try to remain 50' behind the paint truck and crews, and avoid immediately driving over fresh paint. UPDATE the paint truck will be finishing up and touching up over the next 2 weeks. Please be patient and observe safe distances. Thank You.

Chip Seal Season Delayed


The Chip Seal process that was to begin 1 June 2010 has been delayed. Minimum temperatures have not been achieved and excess moisture prohibits the Street Division from proceding at this time. It is anticipated the Chip Seal Operation will resume at 07:00 on 7 June 2010. Thanks for your understanding and patience.

Chip - Fog Seal Project


City of Nampa Chip Sealing Project During the month of June, City crews will be applying a chip seal and fog seal to the following City streets, E. Railroad Street, E. Amity Ave., Happy Valley Road, Sugar Street from E. Railroad Street to Garrity Blvd., E. Victory Road between Sugar Street and Grays Lane. Grays Lane between E. Amity Ave. and E. Victory Road. Kings Road from E. Railroad Street to E. Flamingo Ave., E. Flamingo Ave. to Stamm Lane. Airport Road from Kings Road to Happy Valley Road, North 39th Street between Airport Road and E. Flamingo Ave., Franklin Blvd. from 11th Avenue N. to Industrial Road. Work may also be done in the following subdivisions. Rolling Greens, Park Ridge Est., Kings Road Est., Wildwood, Sugar Meadows, Spicewood and Venice. Every attempt will be made to notify the public when we expect to be in your area. Once notified please park vehicles off main streets until the project is complete. Please watch for updates on our site if you have questions. Please reduce speeds. Thanks for your patience!
